The Breakfast Club was a movie that impacted me when I first saw it because I was also in high school. It showed that several teenagers from very different walks of life and different social cliques were able to become friends. They spent a whole day together in detention and told their stories about why they were there and you learn about each character. They find common ground with one another and get close to each other, even finding an attraction between the characters played by Emilio Estevez and Ally Sheedy. You would never expect these group of students to get along with each other, but in the breakfast club they do.
